INTEGRATING PLAY INTO EVERYDAY LIFE AND UNEXPECTED PLACES
OX4D Plays
The CDRC received one of 50 grants awarded through the KaBOOM! Play Everywhere Challenge, out of over 1,000 entries. The Challenge awarded grants to the best replicable, scalable innovations in city redevelopment and design that help make play easy, available, and fun for kids and families. OX4D Plays is located at Oxford Place Apartments, a Houston Housing Authority owned complex in the Northline neighborhood. The project was a collaboration with artist Carrie Schneider, Avenue, the Houston Housing Authority, University of Houston AIAS Freedom by Design, five teen interns from Oxford Place, and residents.
